Purpose: To customize which monitors will be used in your remote desktop session. For example: you work on three monitors but only want two of those monitors for your remote desktop session. This would allow you to use the third monitor for your local computer.
- Launch your remote desktop application and right-click your workspace icon.
- An option menu will appear with default settings. Turn off the default settings.
- Under display configuration, you have three options:
- All displays – this option will use all your monitors for the remote desktop session.
- Single display – this option will use a single monitor for the remote desktop session.
- Select displays – This will allow you to choose which monitor you want to use for the remote desktop session.
- There is an “Identify” button to help you understand which monitor to choose.
- The monitors that will be used in your session are colored blue. Clicking on the blue monitor will exclude it from your session, turning it gray, and vice versa.
- Once you have made your selection, you can click the “X” on the option menu to save the changes.
- Launch your session.
